IMPACT FORCE – THE EXPERIMENTAL METHOD The distance traveled of the hammer weights to impact is the same distance as that of a standard 22.5 inch (over-all length) slide hammer = 18 inches of travel distance. This ensured real-world work conditions on the laboratory test of each puller.

In a recent test conducted by Kizer Werxs Testing facility, the Atlas Olympian Puller Tab and 5 of the most popular pull tabs were compared to calculate the amount of force each could withstand before showing any stretching or deformation of its shaft. The test was done to simulate the same motion that would be used while utilizing a slide hammer and glue puller during dent repair work.

The Atlas Olympian Glue Tab clearly outdistanced the others as its shaft withstood over 3,100 pounds of force while the next closest competitor only withstood a little over 2,400 pounds of force – a 30% advantage for the Olympian. As point of reference, the typical force a glue tab is subjected to using a slide hammer in a dent repair scenario is between 1,500 and 1,800 pounds.

What Does It Mean? It means that the Olympian Glue Tab is better able to withstand the stresses from repeated PDR jobs, - not only will this provide for a more precise tool for repeated uses, but it will mean less breakage and replacement costs over time.
